How did you get to Azul Wasi?
When I was 5 years old, my father died. My aunt knew Alcides, the director of Azul Wasi and she knew he had a place where children in need could do their homework, it was a library called Colibri, so she contacted him so I could attend.
1 year after the death of my father, my mother and my brothers decided to come to Cusco, my brothers Wilmer and Dani stayed at home and I went to Azul Wasi.
My mother returned to my village with my younger sister. Four years passed before my mother returned to Cusco and stayed to work at Azul Wasi with me
Are you living here with your brothers? How many?
Yes we are all living there together. We are a family of five.
How was your experience at Azul Wasi?
It was a beautiful experience to live there, also thanks to Azul Wasi I was able to find God, live with my family, meet other people from other countries and share a lot of memories with them. We also played a lot of games etc.
How did it feel to have grown up surrounded by boys?
At first I felt very strange because at the beginning me and my little sisters were the only women in the house but over time we built relationships and trust and everything was better. We all became family.
How was school?
At school we all used to leave and return together to Azul Wasi.
Did you have friends outside Azul Wasi?
Yes
What were your favorite subjects in school?
I liked English, and Maths too.
What are your best memories of your time at Azul Wasi?
Well, I have many, among them are our family lunches. I remember the excursions we had, rides in the Azul Wasi car to Sacsayhuaman, to the cinema, etc.
How did LAFF support you during your time at Azul Wasi?
They supported us for example with psychology. Thanks to LAFF we had the vocational tests to define what careers we wanted to choose, improve our emotional states.
When you left Azul Wasi, did LAFF continue to support you?
Yes, I am currently studying Business Administration and LAFF supports me by paying my monthly fees and registration; and at times I support myself with the payment of my transportation.
And what are you doing now?
In the morning I study at University and in the afternoon I work with children in the city of Cusco.
And then what do you plan to do?
When I finish my studies, my goal is to open my own restaurant, I studied cooking and with my Administration studies I would like to have my own business.
What kind of restaurant?
A touristic restaurant
What do you think of Azul Wasi now that you are no longer there?
It is a place to help children that are in a situation of vulnerability or orphanhood. It is a great place where they instill life values. I am grateful to Azul Wasi because thanks to them, I was able to get ahead.

Comó es que llegaste a Azul Wasi?
Yo cuando tenia 5 años mi papa fallecio y mi tía conocía a Alcides, el director de Azul Wasi y como antes este Director tenía un local donde los niños sin recursos podían hacer sus tareas, era una especie de biblioteca llamado Colibrí.
Pasado 1 año del fallecimiento de mi papa, mi mama y mis hermanos decidimos venir a Cusco, mis hermanos Wilmer y Dani se quedaron en el hogar y yo me fui a la casa de Azul Wasi.
Mi mama regreso en mi pueblo con mi hermanita menor. Pasaron 4 anos para que mi mama regresara a Cusco y se quede a trabajar en Azul Wasi conmigo
Estás viviendo aquí con tus hermanos? Cuantos son?
Si estamos viviendo aquí juntos. Somos cinco en la familia
Que tal tu experiencia en la casa?
Fue una bonita experiencia vivir alla, además gracias a azul wasi pude conocer a Dios, a convivir en familia, conocer a otras personas de otros países compartimos tiempo juntos, juegos, etc
Cómo se siente haber crecido rodeada de puro chicos?
Al principio me sentí muy rara porque al inicio yo y mis hermanas eramos las únicas mujeres en la casa pero con el tiempo mejoramos relaciones y todo fue dia a dia mejor. Nos volvimos familia.
Que tal el Colegio?
En el tiempo de colegio todos solíamos irnos y regresar juntos.
Tuviste amigos fuera de Azul Wasi?
Si
Cuales fueron los cursos que más te gustaron en el Colegio?
Me gustaron mas los cursos de ingles y las matematicas tambien.
Cuales son los mejores recuerdos que tienes de Azul Wasi?
Bueno, tengo muchos, entre ellos disfrute los almuerzos familiares, recuerdo las salidas que teníamos, paseos en el carro de azul wasi a Sacsayhuaman, al cine, etc
En qué formas LAFF te apoyo durante tu estancia?
Nos apoyan por ejemplo con la psicóloga, gracias a ella tuvimos los test vocacionales para definir qué carreras queríamos elegir, mejorar nuestros estados emocionales.
Cuando saliste de Azul Wasi, LAFF continuo apoyandote?
Si, en la actualidad estoy estudiando la carrera de Administración de Empresas y LAFF me apoya pagando mis mensualidades, matrícula y en algún tiempo me apoyo con el pago de mi transporte.
Y en la actualidad que vienes haciendo?
Por las mañanas estudio Administración y por la tarde trabajo con niños en la ciudad de Cusco.
Y luego qué piensas hacer?
Terminando de estudiar, mi meta es abrir mi propio restaurante , antes ya había estudiado cocina y con mis estudio de Administracion me gustaria tener mi negocio propio.
Que tipo de restaurante?
Restaurante turistico.
Qué piensas de Azul Wasi ahora que ya no estas ahi?
Es un lugar que ayudar a niños en situación de vulnerabilidad u orfandad. Es un gran lugar donde inculcan valores de vida. Agradezco a Azul Wasi por que gracias a ellos pude salir adelante.
